Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Welcome to UK HPFP REFURBS.

These Terms of Service govern the purchase and use of products and services offered through https://hpfprefurbs.co.uk.

By placing an order, customers agree to these terms, subject to their statutory consumer rights.

1. Our Services

UK HPFP REFURBS specialises in high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) refurbishment and exchange services for selected BMW, MINI, Peugeot and Citroën vehicles.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • N14 and N18 high-pressure fuel pump refurbishment.

  • N14 refurbished exchange units.

  • N18 refurbished exchange units.

  • N53, N54 and N55 high-pressure fuel pump refurbishment.

Services are subject to pump suitability, availability and the specific requirements of each application.

Standard Refurbishment Scope

Our standard refurbishment service primarily involves rebuilding the pump and replacing applicable seals, O-rings and internal fluid.

The service is intended to address known wear-related issues in the pump's serviceable components.

Mechanical and electrical components are not routinely replaced as part of the standard refurbishment.

Where mechanical or electrical faults are identified, additional repair or component replacement may be possible on a case-by-case basis and may incur additional charges.

Any additional chargeable work will be discussed with the customer and must be approved before proceeding.

Our standard refurbishment service does not constitute the replacement or complete overhaul of every mechanical or electrical component within the pump.

2. Vehicle and Pump Compatibility

Vehicle compatibility information provided on our website is intended as a guide.

Some vehicles may be fitted with different pump variants depending on their engine specification, manufacturing date or previous component replacement.

Customers are encouraged to confirm the original pump part number before ordering, especially where compatibility is uncertain.

Bosch high-pressure fuel pumps are not included in our refurbishment services.

If compatibility cannot be confirmed, customers should contact us before purchasing.

Any specific compatibility advice or suitability confirmation provided by UK HPFP REFURBS forms part of the relevant product or service description, subject to applicable consumer law.

3. Refurbishment Process

Customers purchasing a refurbishment service are responsible for arranging and paying for delivery of their existing pump to our workshop.

All pumps are subject to inspection to determine their suitability for refurbishment.

Inspection and Additional Faults

Some additional faults may be identified during initial inspection. However, certain mechanical or electrical defects may only become apparent during disassembly, refurbishment or subsequent functional testing.

Where additional faults or repair requirements are identified, we will contact the customer to explain the available options and any additional charges.

No additional chargeable work will be undertaken without customer approval.

If the customer declines additional work, we will discuss the appropriate next steps, including returning the pump or supplying a suitable exchange unit where available.

Any refund or charge for work already completed will be assessed in accordance with the agreed service, applicable cancellation rights and consumer law.

Pumps Unsuitable for Refurbishment

If a pump is found unsuitable for refurbishment, we will contact the customer and offer:

  • A suitable exchange unit, subject to availability and any agreed additional charges; or

  • Return of the original pump at our expense.

No inspection fee will be charged for pumps found unsuitable for refurbishment.

Where refurbishment cannot be carried out, any refund due will be handled in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy and applicable consumer law.

4. Testing and Refurbishment Standards

Pumps are inspected, serviced and subjected to applicable functional testing as part of our refurbishment process.

We aim to ensure that each refurbished pump meets our established workshop servicing and testing standards before dispatch.

However, workshop testing cannot fully replicate every operating condition experienced when the pump is installed in a vehicle.

Complete verification of pump operation may only be possible once the pump has been correctly refitted to the vehicle and operated under normal conditions.

Accordingly, successful workshop testing does not guarantee that a pump will perform correctly where unrelated vehicle faults, installation problems or other external factors are present.

These testing limitations do not exclude our responsibility for defects attributable to our workmanship, supplied components or any other matter for which we are legally responsible.

5. Technical Information and Proprietary Methods

Our refurbishment procedures incorporate specialist knowledge, processes and techniques developed through practical experience and technical research.

Certain aspects of our refurbishment methods, component specifications, repair processes and technical procedures are commercially sensitive.

We therefore reserve the right not to disclose detailed proprietary methods, internal repair procedures or commercially sensitive technical information.

We will nevertheless provide customers with the information reasonably necessary to understand the nature and scope of the service purchased, any additional work agreed, relevant limitations and applicable warranty coverage.

This provision does not restrict any information that we are legally required to disclose, nor does it affect a customer's statutory rights.

6. Exchange Units

UK HPFP REFURBS offers refurbished high-pressure fuel pump exchange units for selected applications, subject to availability.

Under this arrangement, the customer receives a refurbished replacement pump and returns their existing pump.

Exchange Deposits

The following refundable deposits apply:

  • N14 exchange unit: £100.

  • N18 exchange unit: £125.

The customer must return their original pump within 30 days of receiving the exchange unit.

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for postage of their original pump to our workshop.

Returned Pump Requirements

To qualify for a full exchange deposit refund, the returned pump must:

  • Be the correct pump type for the exchange.

  • Be complete, with its principal components present.

  • Be suitable for refurbishment following inspection.

Common faults normally addressed through our refurbishment process do not automatically disqualify a returned pump.

Returned pumps will be inspected before deposit refunds are approved.

If a pump does not meet the agreed exchange conditions, we will explain the findings and any proposed deduction or alternative arrangement.

Approved deposit refunds will be processed within five working days following successful inspection, normally using the original payment method.

The 30-day exchange-core return deadline is a contractual condition of the exchange arrangement and does not replace or restrict any statutory cancellation rights.

7. Prices and Payments

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

UK HPFP REFURBS is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT separately.

Any applicable delivery charges and exchange deposits will be displayed or otherwise agreed before purchase.

Payment must be made using an accepted payment method through our online checkout.

If additional refurbishment work or components are required beyond the standard service, any additional charge will be communicated for customer approval before the work proceeds.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before accepting an order.

Where an error is discovered after an order has been accepted, we will contact the customer to agree a lawful resolution. We will not increase the agreed price without the customer's consent.

8. Turnaround Times

We aim to complete standard refurbishment work within 24 hours of receiving a suitable pump during normal working days.

Our normal working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

The 24-hour turnaround refers to workshop processing time and does not include postal transit.

Actual turnaround may vary because of:

  • Additional inspection or repair requirements.

  • Parts availability.

  • Workload or operational circumstances.

  • Workshop closures or bank holidays.

  • Unforeseen technical difficulties.

The advertised 24-hour turnaround is a service target rather than a guarantee of next-day delivery, unless a specific completion deadline has been expressly agreed.

We will inform customers of significant delays and comply with applicable statutory obligations concerning service performance and delivery.

9. Shipping and Delivery

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for delivery of pumps sent to us for refurbishment.

Pumps should be safely removed, appropriately drained of residual fuel where necessary and permitted by the carrier, and securely packaged.

Customers must comply with the selected carrier's requirements for transporting automotive fuel-system components.

Return delivery following refurbishment is charged at Shopify checkout, with available delivery options and prices displayed before purchase.

Exchange customers are responsible for the cost of returning their original pump under the exchange arrangement.

Where a pump is unsuitable for refurbishment and the customer chooses to have it returned, UK HPFP REFURBS will cover the return postage.

We currently accept orders for delivery within the United Kingdom only.

For goods supplied by us to consumers, responsibility during delivery remains with us until the goods come into the physical possession of the customer or a nominated recipient, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Further information is provided in our Shipping Policy.

10. Installation and Vehicle Condition

High-pressure fuel pumps are precision automotive components and must be installed correctly.

We recommend installation by a suitably qualified automotive technician, following relevant manufacturer procedures and safety requirements.

Customers should ensure that associated fuel-system faults, fuel contamination and other relevant vehicle issues are correctly diagnosed and addressed.

Incorrect installation, unsuitable fuel, contamination, unrelated vehicle defects or improper use may cause pump malfunctions or damage.

Such circumstances may fall outside our voluntary warranty where they are responsible for the reported fault.

However, this does not exclude liability for defects in our refurbishment workmanship, supplied components or goods and services that fail to meet statutory requirements.

11. Six-Month Warranty

UK HPFP REFURBS provides a six-month limited warranty on eligible refurbishment services and refurbished exchange units.

The voluntary warranty period begins on the date of dispatch.

Warranty Coverage

The warranty covers defects attributable to:

  • Our refurbishment workmanship.

  • Seals, O-rings and other components replaced during our service.

  • Additional mechanical or electrical components specifically repaired or replaced by us.

  • Defects in exchange units attributable to our refurbishment workmanship or supplied components.

Warranty Limitations

Our standard refurbishment service does not routinely include the replacement of every mechanical or electrical component.

Faults arising solely from existing components that were not repaired or replaced as part of the service are not automatically covered by our voluntary warranty, unless attributable to our workmanship or another matter for which we are legally responsible.

The voluntary warranty does not cover damage caused solely by:

  • Incorrect installation or removal.

  • Fuel contamination or unsuitable fuel.

  • Unrelated vehicle or fuel-system defects.

  • Physical damage occurring after delivery.

  • Unauthorised modifications or subsequent repairs that cause the fault.

  • Misuse or operation outside the pump's intended application.

All exclusions are subject to statutory consumer rights.

Warranty Claims

Customers experiencing a suspected warranty issue should contact psahpfpservices@gmail.com with their order number, vehicle details and a description of the problem.

We may request the pump be returned for inspection.

Where a valid warranty claim is established, we will provide an appropriate remedy, normally repair or replacement, at no charge for covered work.

Any alternative remedy or associated costs will be handled in accordance with the warranty terms and applicable consumer law.

Full details are provided in our Six-Month Warranty Policy.

Nothing in this warranty limits or replaces statutory consumer rights, which may continue beyond the voluntary warranty period.

12. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Consumers purchasing services or goods online generally have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Refurbishment Services

For an eligible service contract, the usual cancellation period is 14 days after the contract is entered into.

Customers may expressly request that refurbishment begins during this period.

Where the customer makes a valid request for early performance and subsequently cancels before the service is completed, a proportionate charge may apply for services already provided, where permitted by law.

If the service is fully performed following the customer's express request and acknowledgement that their cancellation right will be lost upon full completion, that right may end.

A general acceptance of these Terms of Service does not, by itself, constitute the required express request or acknowledgement.

Exchange Units

Consumers purchasing exchange units online generally have the right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods.

Customers must notify us within the cancellation period and return the goods within 14 days of giving notice.

For change-of-mind cancellations, customers are responsible for direct return costs where this has been communicated as required by law.

Any deductions for diminished value will be limited to those permitted by applicable law.

Faulty Goods and Unsatisfactory Services

Consumers retain statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

They also retain rights where services have not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy provides further information on exercising these rights.

Cancellation requests may be submitted to psahpfpservices@gmail.com.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Breach of statutory consumer rights.

  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

We are not responsible for faults or losses arising solely from unrelated vehicle defects, customer misuse, improper installation or other circumstances for which we are not legally responsible.

Claims involving associated vehicle damage, removal, refitting, diagnostics, recovery or other costs will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude remedies or compensation to which a customer is legally entitled.

14. Website Information and Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, prices, compatibility information and stock availability are accurate.

Product photographs may be illustrative and may not show the exact unit supplied or every component replaced during refurbishment.

We may update website information and product availability without prior notice.

Any changes to these Terms of Service will apply to future orders and will not retrospectively alter existing contractual rights without lawful agreement.

15. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

Original website content, business branding, graphics and technical materials are owned by or licensed to UK HPFP REFURBS, except where otherwise indicated.

BMW, MINI, Peugeot, Citroën and other manufacturer names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Vehicle manufacturer references are used for identification and compatibility purposes only.

UK HPFP REFURBS is an independent specialist business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by these vehicle manufacturers unless expressly stated otherwise.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

This does not deprive consumers resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom of any mandatory legal protections or jurisdictional rights available to them.
